There are several exciting development opportunities at the Colfax and 13th Avenue Stations. The purpose of this project is to update the Fitzsimons-Colfax and 13th Avenue Station Area Plan and prepare a new Urban Renewal Plan for the area. These plans will capture the community's vision and collectively plan for new development and public improvements in this important area of Aurora.

The current plan for the area was adopted in 2009, but we know a lot has changed in the past 15 years! Through an analysis of current conditions and community engagement, the goal is to create and adopt two plans that will reflect the city’s current needs and address land use, transportation, housing, and public improvements.

  • The following survey asks ten (10) questions about the project study area, which is outlined in yellow on the map to the right (or downloaded here). The study area includes the Colfax Station and 13th Avenue Station, including areas generally west of Potomac Street, east of Sable Boulevard, south of East 16th Place, and north of 6th Avenue.

The purpose of this survey is to gather information about how the study area has changed since in recent years and what is important to those who live, work, shop, or travel through the area. This survey is the first of several opportunities for the public to provide input into the planning process.
