As part of its ongoing efforts to curb youth violence, the city is planning a youth center for all with a special focus on at-risk and high-risk youth —the first of its kind in the city. The youth center will focus on violence prevention and intervention programs with the help of key community partners that serve youth.

The center’s location and opening date is yet to be determined. But youth, caregivers such as parents, and youth-serving professionals are invited to provide input on the type of services and programs that should be offered at the center via a short survey linked below.

City officials will consider the input collected as the planning of the youth center progresses. As details are finalized, the city will share information through city communication channels, including this project page. Be sure to subscribe to this page to receive updates on the project.

The online survey's deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 30.

    La ciudad de Aurora planea abrir un centro juvenil que se centre en jóvenes en situación de riesgo, el primero de su clase en la ciudad. Invitamos a jóvenes, cuidadores (como padres) y profesionales que trabajan con jóvenes a compartir su opinión sobre los tipos de programas y servicios que deberían ofrecerse en el centro. Los funcionarios de la ciudad tendrán en cuenta las recomendaciones que se brinden. Ayúdanos a crear un centro que atienda las necesidades y deseos de la juventud de Aurora.
