We want to hear from you!

The city is launching its third phase of the Missing Sidewalks Improvement Project, an ongoing effort to fill in sidewalk gaps at various locations across the city. The ultimate goal with every project is to complete the sidewalk network, improve pedestrian safety and convenience, connect residents to active transportation choices, and enhance the region's multimodal system.

The following locations for this next phase were identified for possible improvements based on the need for safe and convenient pedestrian and bicycle access to transit facilities and local destinations:

  • Fitzsimons Parkway (west side only) from between 23rd Avenue and Victor Street to just east of Ursula Street
  • Potomac Street from 17th Avenue on the south to the Sable ditch on the north
  • Evergreen Avenue from Billings Street on the west to Sable Boulevard on the east
  • Helena Street (east side only) from 14th Place to Colfax Avenue
  • Jasper Street (east side only) from Colfax Avenue to Batavia Drive
  • Laredo Street (east side only) from just north of Colfax to 16th Avenue

The city is evaluating the feasibility of installing sidewalks at these locations. Local feedback from the community is important for city staff to make informed decisions about projects like these.

A survey will be posted here in early 2026 for residents to provide input on the proposed locations. Anyone who completes the survey will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 Amazon gift card.

This project aligns with the strategies in development through Connecting Aurora, our first-ever citywide multimodal transportation master plan, which will be finalized in early 2026.
