The city's roadway manual provides the minimum acceptable criteria for the design and construction of the city's infrastructure, including roadway sections, geometry and sidewalks; traffic, signals, signage, striping and traffic control; pavement design, material and installation requirements; streetlights; and civil plan submittal requirements and process.

A summary of changes for the 2025 update will be included here along with the draft Manual, standard details, and TIS Guidelines during the public comment period.

The roadway manual provides standards and guidelines related to the city's infrastructure to ensure the infrastructure meets or exceeds the minimum required standards. These guidelines make sure the city's infrastructure is built to last, keeping in mind the efficient use of city resources and taxpayer dollars.

The 2025 Roadway Manual has a publish date of October 1, 2024.

The effective date of the 2025 Roadway Manual will be January 1, 2025.

Development and redevelopment projects as well as construction projects within city right of way are required to adhere to the city's codes, criteria, and manuals, including the Roadway Manual. 

No, regular updates to the roadway manual are planned.  Future updates may have minor changes, while others may have significant updates in coordination with other City initiatives.  

Any future updates will be coordinated with stakeholders and will be available for public comment prior to adoption.
