Red-tailed Hawk Park is a 35-acre community park located at 23701 E. Hinsdale Way in southeast Aurora. The Aurora Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department (PROS) has launched a master planning process to review current park features and create an updated, cohesive park design to guide future improvements to the park.
As of March 6, 2025, three public meetings have been hosted, three surveys have been conducted, and the preferred Master Plan has been presented to the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB). The following is the presentation that was presented to PRAB on March 5, 2025:
Red-tailed Hawk Park es un parque comunitario de 35 acres ubicado en 23701 E. Hinsdale Way en el sureste de Aurora. El Departamento de Parques, Recreación y Espacios Abiertos de Aurora (PROS, por sus siglas en inglés) ha lanzado un proceso de planificación maestra para revisar las características actuales del parque y crear un diseño actualizado y cohesivo para guiar futuras mejoras al parque.
A partir del 6 de marzo de 2025, se realizaron tres reuniones públicas, se realizaron tres encuestas y se presentó el Plan Maestro preferido a la Junta Asesora de Parques y Recreación (PRAB). La siguiente es la presentación que se presentó a PRAB el 5 de marzo de 2025:
Una vez que el plan maestro esté completo y aprobado, las futuras fases de construcción y el calendario de implementación dependerán del presupuesto y la dotación de personal.

Red-Tailed Hawk Park is an approximately 35-acre community park located at 23701 E. Hinsdale Way in southeast Aurora. A new 9-acre acquisition will be the focus of an updated, cohesive park design to guide future improvements.
A community park provides uses and facilities capable of accommodating larger groups of visitors who come from multiple surrounding neighborhoods. These parks may have active and passive recreation opportunities, and typically are designated to serve an area within a 2-mile radius.

Red-tailed Hawk Park es un parque comunitario de 35 acres ubicado en 23701 E. Hinsdale Way en el sureste de Aurora. Una nueva adquisición de 9 acres será el enfoque de un diseño para actualizar el parque y guiar cambios para mejorarlo en un futuro.

Public Hearing Date: March 5, 2025 at 5 p.m.
A virtual public hearing will be held by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board (PRAB), during the meeting there will be a public comment period. PRAB will make a formal recommendation to City Council regarding the master plan.
