Gas Station Spacing Study
We need your input on gas station spacing!
The city of Aurora is seeking community input on regulations related to the development of new gas stations.
The regulations under consideration would potentially:
- Limit the distance between new gas stations and existing gas stations
- Limit the distance between new gas stations and residential neighborhoods
- Place requirements for providing electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at new gas stations
This topic was discussed at the July 22 Planning and Economic Development Council Policy Committee, which directed staff to gather public input on these potential zoning and development code changes.
The city is seeking input from residents, neighborhood organizations, business owners, developers, employees that work in Aurora, and others. Stay tuned to this project website for opportunities to share your opinions on the topic, starting with our online survey. Review the current conditions and scenario maps below and then take the survey by Oct. 31.
