What is this study?
The study will identify transportation improvements that make it easier and safer for people to travel to, from, and throughout the Fitzsimons District
Didn't the city of Aurora already complete a transportation plan?
Yes. Aurora recently adopted the Connecting Aurora Multimodal Transportation Master Plan, which provides a long-term vision for transportation across the city. The Fitzsimons Transportation Solutions Study builds on that work by focusing specifically on transportation in the Fitzsimons District and identifying recommendations tailored to the area's unique needs.
Is this a construction project?
No. This is a planning study that will evaluate transportation conditions and recommend future improvements.
How is this study being funded?
This study is funded through the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) Livable Centers Program in partnership with the City of Aurora. The program supports planning efforts that improve transportation, mobility, and access while preparing communities for future growth.
Who should take the survey?
Anyone who travels throughout the Fitzsimons District for work or school, to receive medical care or who lives nearby or within the district.
Do I need to drive to participate?
No. We want feedback from everyone who walks, bikes, rolls, takes transit, uses the shuttle, or drives.
