The city of Aurora is building a new neighborhood park at E. Smoky Hill Road and S. Ider Street in southeast Aurora and is seeking residents' feedback on the design. This park has the potential for a unique design and will provide new outdoor recreational opportunities for the nearby residents.

Playgrounds for all ages and abilities
Open play areas
Courts for various sports
Outdoor fitness equipment
Picnic areas with shade structures, seating and grills
Walking paths

The Dome Park site is an approximately 22-acre neighborhood park located at East Smoky Hill Road and South Ider Street in the city of Aurora. A two-acre parcel within the park is owned by the Federal Government with a dome like structure that shall remain untouched.
A neighborhood park provides recreational space and facilities for the surrounding neighborhoods within a ½ mile radius. It is typically five to fifteen acres with amenities that cater to the unique neighborhood character and provide informal, active and reflective areas of recreation for all ages.
