Overview
Northwest Aurora is the cultural heart of the city and East Colfax is Aurora’s original downtown. The Colfax Community Vision and Action Plan a planning process focused on gathering community priorities for the Colfax area and creating an action plan for achieving these goals. As part of this effort, the project is also evaluating different models for a community-led organization that could help fund and work towards these priorities.
DDA Boundaries and CDC Service Area
Below are the proposed DDA boundaries and overlapping CDC service area. The DDA boundaries are Yosemite St. to the west, E 16th Ave. to the north, the Fitzsimons Urban Renewal Area to the east, and E 14th Ave to the south. The CDC can work throughout Northwest Aurora as it does not have defined boundaries.

What's Happening Now?
We will continue to refine the draft plan based on community feedback to create a second draft in early August. Read the plan and tell us what you think by taking a quick survey.
On July 14th, City Council will hold a public hearing to decide whether to place the DDA up for vote in November. Important: this is not a hearing approving the Plan or the DDA. It will only determine if there will be a vote in November by eligible electors within the proposed DDA boundaries. Agenda (when available) and details on how to share comments with council can be found on the City Council Meetings webpage.
The next working group meeting will be held virtually on Monday, July 7th from 11:30am - 1:00pm.
