The city of Aurora is embarking on a journey to make our city a model of accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and we need your help!

A person walking with a guide cane approaches a roadway curb cut with a dome matDuring the next two years, we will be developing a plan to identify, evaluate and fund accessibility updates in our infrastructure, services and programs.

“Phase One” of the identification and planning process is underway and is focused on our core programs and public right-of-way infrastructure. Additional phases will focus on the city’s emergency management operations, the city’s parks and recreation programs and infrastructure, and the city’s buildings, facilities and parking structures.

You are our best resource in identifying gaps in accessibility for individuals with disabilities who are living, working and playing in our community! You are also key to helping us prioritize improvements in our programs, infrastructure and services.

There are a few ways for you to provide input. First, please respond to the survey below, and use the interactive map to identify places of concern in our community. Next, join us at one of our upcoming “Phase 1” Town Hall meetings to share your feedback in person. See the "Key Dates" section of this page for details.
