Proclaiming Aurora's Black History Exhibit Survey

In July 2026, the Aurora History Museum will open "Proclaiming Aurora’s Black History," a new exhibit adapted from the Boulder History Museum’s Proclaiming Colorado’s Black History. Guided by its mission to engage the community and celebrate local heritage, the museum will collaborate with community leaders to highlight the stories of Black Aurorans that have long shaped the city.

Community members are invited to participate in this project, which seeks to inspire pride, foster dialogue and broaden understanding of Aurora’s history, by completing a brief survey to help guide the exhibit.

The survey will be open through Spring 2026.
