    About Alicia García

Born and raised in Los Angeles, and of Puerto Rican descent, Alicia García is a relationship-driven equity architect and restorative educator with nearly a decade of experience in Restorative Practices and Liberatory Design. The insights gained from supporting numerous schools, districts, community-based organizations, and government agencies have greatly informed Alicia’s responsive approach to systems change. Since 2016, she has led over 300 professional development sessions in Restorative Practices, both virtually and in person. As the Director of Innovation for ReSolutionaries Inc, she strives to uphold the legacy of the 5R’s Framework. In 2020, she founded Circle Corps, a collective of innovative change-makers committed to the culmination of Restorative Practices and Liberatory Design across multiple landscapes.. She maintains a steadfast commitment to community outreach and engagement through a relationship-driven approach and is fueled by the undeniable impact of these efforts. She believes that Restorative Practices offer a return to collective healing and an opportunity to disrupt the patterns of collective trauma.

When not “working,” Alicia is found in pure joy when: cooking, dancing, snowboarding, surfing, beachcombing, building forts with her daughter and husband… and, well, pretty much any time spent in the company of her close family and friends.
