IMPORTANT PROJECT UPDATE:

We have completed cleaning, filling, and testing the new pipeline and are preparing tie-ins at 3rd and 6th Avenues. Planned road closures and detours will be put in effect starting Monday, July 21st.

Traffic controls will be in place for at least three weeks. We understand this extends past the start of school, so we ask everyone to be patient and allow yourselves extra time to make your way through the detours, obeying traffic control signage and directions.

Aurora Water is installing a new 30-inch water main along Powhaton Road between Sixth and First avenues. As part of this process, Powhaton will need to be closed between Sixth and Alameda avenues, with multiple detours in the area.

Project details, including timelines, detours, and frequently asked questions are in the documents to the right.
