The city of Aurora is looking for its next Chief of Police, and the community's input in the search process is crucial to finding the right person to effectively lead the Aurora Police Department. The city hired a renowned recruitment firm to conduct a national search. The firm heard from Aurora residents, businesses and partners through an online survey and an in-person meeting about the expectations they have for this position, and the experiences and qualifications they'd like to see in candidates. This public input was used by the search firm to find the best candidates for the position, with the hopes of announcing a new chief of police this year.
