The city of Aurora is looking for its next Chief of Police, and the community's input in the search process is crucial to finding the right person to effectively lead the Aurora Police Department. The city has hired a renowned recruitment firm to conduct a national search, and one of the firm's first tasks is to hear from Aurora residents, businesses and partners about the expectations they have for this position, and the experiences and qualifications they'd like to see in candidates. Feedback will be gathered through an online survey and an in-person meeting. The survey will remain open until the recruitment process has concluded. This public input will be used by the search firm to find the best candidates for the position, with the hopes of announcing a new chief of police this year.
