Help Shape the Future of Picadilly Road

The city is conducting a study to determine the best configuration for Picadilly Road between Stephen D. Hogan Parkway and 11th Avenue.

Eastern Aurora is growing and the city is proactively planning to meet these rising demands on our transportation system. Traffic on this stretch of road is projected to substantially increase by 2050, with about 36,000 vehicles per day expected to travel along this roadway that connects residents to employment and important regional destinations such as Buckley Air Force Base and Denver International Airport.

After reviewing area development plans, forecasting future traffic volumes, and conducting traffic analysis, two alternatives for the roadway cross-section have been developed. Public input will be gathered before the city determines the planned concept for the future of Picadilly Road in this area.

This study will result in identification of the planned configuration for Picadilly Road between Stephen D. Hogan Parkway and 11th Avenue. Design and construction of these roadway improvements will happen over the coming years in partnership with Arapahoe County and the adjacent developers.
