Get involved in the future extension of bus rapid transit on East Colfax Avenue
Take the community survey by Nov. 7.
The Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) is funding and managing the Colfax BRT Next study in partnership with the city of Aurora, Arapahoe and Adams counties, the Regional Transportation District (RTD) and the Colorado Department of Transportation. The study will identify future bus rapid transit (BRT) options serving East Colfax Avenue between the RTD R Line's Colfax Station at Interstate 225 and Picadilly/E-470. This future phase of BRT on Colfax will connect to the East Colfax BRT project currently under construction between Denver and Aurora.
The project aligns with the city of Aurora’s transportation planning efforts and DRCOG’s 2050 Regional Transportation Plan to implement a regional network of bus rapid transit lines across the greater Denver region.
The Colfax BRT Next study started in late 2024 and should be complete by the end of 2025.
